Fort Wayne Police Department – Mad Ants Safety Awareness Program
ITT, Comcast, and the Mad Ants are excited to partner with the Fort Wayne Police Department, Fort Wayne Community Schools, and the City of Fort Wayne to present the FWPD – Mad Ants Safety Awareness Program. With support from these community pillars, the Mad Ants hope to help make the city a safer place for kids.
Throughout the 2009-10 school year, kids in grades K-5 in selected Fort Wayne Community schools will attend Safety Awareness programs in their schools put on by the FWPD and members of the Mad Ants team and staff. All kids will receive a safety workbook, and those who complete it and then enter their information online will receive a free ticket to a Mad Ants home game!
Kids will also get information and support from local safe havens, carefully selected homes and businesses in their neighborhoods that serve as safe places for any kid in trouble. Special Safety Awareness window decals will clearly mark each safe haven location.
