EMMETT’S HUGE NIGHT HELPS BIGHORNS ROUT JAM

RENO, NEV.— Andre Emmett had 39 points, eight rebounds and eight assists Thursday night, leading the Reno Bighorns to a 139-114 win over the Bakersfield Jam. Blake Ahearn had a strong game of his own with 35 points and 12 assists while Terrance Thomas added 18 points and 12 rebounds.

The Bighorns were red-hot shooting the ball, converting 59.6 percent of their shots, including 45.5 percent on three pointers. Emmett led the shooting charge, making 16 of 20 shots while Ahearn was 11 of 13 from the field.

The Bighorns’ 139 points marks a season-high for the team, exceeding the previous season-high of 120 points.

The Bighorns face the Jam again on Friday night in Bakersfield. The team returns to Reno to take on the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks, on Jan 3rd and 4th at the Reno Events Center.
