TEAM PROGRAMS
Following the devastation in the Gulf Coast region caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Hornets established the Hoops for Homes Program to assist their community in the recovery efforts in the New Orleans metropolitan area. It became apparent that providing housing and rebuilding homes would be the most significant issues.
The New Orleans Hornets Bookmobile, presented by Best Western, is an exciting library-on-wheels that distributes free books to students at local schools and community events in the New Orleans metropolitan area. In the past two seasons, the Bookmobile has distributed more than 90,000 free books.
